This week went by in the blink of an eye. With zone conferences going on we are on the road with President and Sister Brown going to all of the zones. We usually get back in the evening to work in our area. But despite that time we don’t have in our area, the time we do have is blessed by the Lord!
We have been working pretty hard to stay caught up. We face a lot of rejection just because we are in a nicer area, but we are having investigators just fall into our lap. Our goal is to get 2 baptisms by July 9th and so far it’s looking promising!
Nate Orchard took us out to eat this past week and invited one of his teammates, Danny Shelton, to come along. He’s a defensive tackle who got drafted 1st round last year. He’s from the state of Washington and has friends who are members of the Church. He has been to different YSA activities when he was in college. He lives in our ward boundaries across the street from Nate so as soon as they get back into town we’re going to hopefully set up a time to meet with them both before the season starts!
I’ll be honest… I never thought I’d be sitting down at dinner with 2 professional football players. It doesn’t matter how much money you do or don’t have. We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father and we all need to accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order to make it back. I’m so thankful to be able to teach people about the truth that has been restored.
Have a good week!
here’s a pic of Nate, us, and Danny after dinner. Those dudes make us look tiny!
