The Power of Prayer

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I know I did. I got to FaceTime the family and my bro down in Argentina. I can’t put into words how thankful and blessed I am to have the family that I have. They are amazing.

We will be having a baptism this weekend and another one on the 28th. For all of the time we don’t get to spend in our area, the Lord sure does bless us. This week I witnessed the power of prayer. We watched one of our investigators as he prayed to know if he should be baptized and then we watched as the Holy Ghost touched his heart and he told us this is what he needs.

Our Heavenly Father hears every single one of our sincere, heartfelt prayers. Answers don’t always come on our watch but they come.

8 For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, who, if his son ask bread, will give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

(3 Nephi 14:8-11)

I hope you all have a great week!

Love,

Elder Gallegos
