Good morning everybody!
I hope you all had a good week. I can’t believe it’s Monday already. Time is flying. This past week was amazing here in Ohio! Today’s high is 67 🙂 I never thought I would see spring. Let’s just hope it’s here to stay.
On Thursday we met with this guy named Joey. He’s probably 28-30 yrs old I would guess. Really nice guy. He just finished up 4 years of school to be a Preacher and now he’s going to seminary to finish his "education" so he can begin preaching. He’s going to become a Protestant preacher. Anyway, we met with him at this restaurant called Panera Bread and we talked for almost 5 hours straight! There wasn’t any bible bashing involved. But it was just amazing to see how a couple 19-20 year olds, being led by the Holy Ghost, can answer back to every single issue this College Graduate had. He was getting very frustrated. But at the end of the long, long discussion all we could do was bear our testimony of what we know to be true. The Spirit was so strong as we told him what we know to be true!
There is no such thing as "Mormon Truth" "Catholic Truth" or "Islam Truth"… Truth is Truth. And we can come to a knowledge of what is true through the power of the Holy Ghost. A lot of things that were said during that discussion just weren’t true. And we knew they weren’t true! And there were things that were true and we KNEW that they were true. My testimony grew tremendous amounts from that discussion.
Well that’s my story of the week. My challenge to all of you would be to find out what’s true, through prayer, and then share that truth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a truth I hold very close to my heart and that is why I love sharing it.
Scripture of the week:
Doctrine and Covenants 84:45
45 For the word of the Lord is truth, and whatsoever is truth is light, and whatsoever is light is Spirit, even the Spirit of Jesus Christ
I love you all. Until next week,
